Changelog

A public history of features, security fixes, balance and infrastructure.

feature · 0.5.122.15

Shared stash: search by item names

The shared stash search finds an item by its real name: uniques and sets (e.g. "Magefist"), runewords, D2R ones too (e.g. "Mosaic", "Plague"), magic affixes (e.g. "Cruel", "of Quickness") and rare item names. The base name and the item code work too.

fix · 0.5.122.15

Summons between games: Hellfire Torch, Hydra and several players

Summons move to the next game also for characters with a Hellfire Torch in the inventory and for Sorceresses with Hydra. With several players at once, one character's save no longer overwrites another's.

fix · 0.5.122.14

Mosaic, Druid beasts and summons between games

Every Dragon Talon kick releases the Mosaic charges, as in D2R. Spirit Wolf, Dire Wolf and Grizzly can stand side by side at once, as in D2R 2.4. Summons carried between games come back with their full stats, also without the buff bar and in a second game window.

feature · 0.5.122.14

Splash as in PD2: every melee weapon, summons and the Melee Splash line

Every melee weapon of any quality except wands has full splash. Ravens, skeletons, wolves, the Fire Golem, the Grizzly and the clay, blood and iron golems splash too. New melee weapons carry the "Melee Splash" line, as in PD2 (items that drop from this update on).

fix · 0.5.122.14

Terror Zone bosses drop their own treasure

Terror Zone bosses (among them the Countess, Hephasto, Nihlathak, the Summoner, Mephisto with the Council and Baal) drop from their own Terror Zone treasure. They used to roll someone else's: organs, keys and Baal's Eye dropped where they did not belong.

fix · 0.5.122.14

Shared stash: one Annihilus, Torch and Gheed per character

The shared stash keeps the limit of one Annihilus, Hellfire Torch and Gheed's Fortune per character. If the character already has one, the second stays in the stash and a message appears in chat.

fix · 0.5.122.13

War cries in town reach the party

Shout, Battle Orders and Battle Command cast in town buff the whole party within reach, as they do outside town (in town they used to buff only the Barbarian). A server fix of 28.09, no client change.

feature · 0.5.122.13

Blade Mastery and Claw Mastery with daggers

The Barbarian's Sword Mastery is now Blade Mastery, as in D2R: it works with swords and daggers. The Assassin's Claw Mastery also works with daggers.

balance · 0.5.122.13

War cries in town; Fire Claws, Multiple Shot and Berserk synergies

Shout, Battle Orders and Battle Command can be cast in town. Fire Claws: synergies from Firestorm and Molten Boulder only, 44% per level each. Multiple Shot: "Weapon Damage: 75%" + 12% per point in Guided Arrow, in the tooltip too. Berserk: a Battle Orders synergy (+10% magic damage per level); Howl and Shout stay. The Frenzy and Grim Ward tooltips show their synergies.

feature · 0.5.122.13

Throwing weapons that last, Sanctuary drops

Javelins, throwing knives and throwing axes are never used up (throwing potions are consumed as before). Items dropped in the Arcane Sanctuary and the Chaos Sanctum land where you can walk.

fix · 0.5.122.13

Points by 5/20, holds after a kill, filter and chat

Ctrl+click spends 5 points, Shift+click 20, on attributes and in the skill tree. A held attack (Fury, Zeal and the other skills that keep the hold in D2R) takes the next monster under the cursor after a kill. An item hidden by the filter leaves no black box. BH keys do nothing while you type in chat.

feature · 0.5.122.13

Launcher: several game windows, -skiptobnet, uninstall

A new options row above the start button: POMIŃ MENU (-skiptobnet), OKNA GRY 1–4 (up to four windows at once) and ODINSTALUJ (the client, the local C9Vault data, the shortcut and the launcher folder; the original game is never touched).

feature · 0.5.122.12

Cube: rune downgrades

One rune plus the same gem its upgrade costs gives the rune one tier lower, e.g. Ber + Flawless Amethyst → Sur. From Eld to Thul the rune alone is enough, and El has no lower rune. Use a single rune and gem, not a stack. These recipes were already live but missing from the changelog. Full table of all 32: wiki.c9realm.pl.

feature · 0.5.122.12

10×8 inventory, charms in the upper half

The inventory has 8 rows instead of 4; items stay where they are in the upper half. Charms work only in the upper half (the old rows 1–4), so current charms keep working; a charm even partly in the lower half gives no stats.

balance · 0.5.122.12

Every class's skills as in D2R

D2R values, synergies, descriptions and mechanics: separate cooldowns, Impale and finishers always hit, held channels, interruptible dodge, direct druid shapeshifting, the Lightning Strike chain and more. Where D2R is weaker, our version stays. The full skill-by-skill list is in the news post.

feature · 0.5.122.12

Sunder charms

Six unique Grand Charms sunder monster immunities (fire, lightning, cold, poison, magic, physical): a 100%+ resistance counts as 95% for you and your summons. The wearer's penalty rolls as in D2R. They drop from elite monsters in the active Terror Zone on Hell and count towards the Grail.

feature · 0.5.122.12

PD2-style splash and the Melee Splash property

Splash range depends on the weapon (4 normal, 5 exceptional and elite; Concentrate and Berserk +1). New Melee Splash property: full hit damage around the target, separate Crushing Blow and Open Wounds, half leech from each. 175 uniques, 22 set items and three Amazon spear affixes carry it — on items found from this version on.

balance · 0.5.122.12

Monster resistance cap 115% (poison 105%)

Monster resistances are capped at 115%, poison at 105%, in every element and difficulty. Infinity breaks every immunity; Lower Resist breaks poison immunity on regular monsters.

feature · 0.5.122.12

Terror Zone: twice the monsters, changes in a running game

The active zone has twice as many monsters (never more than the Tombs' density). The zone changes on the full hour in a running game too, and the HUD shows the new zone right after the hour.

feature · 0.5.122.12

Party-wide shrines, summons between games

Healing and boosting shrines affect the whole party in the game, with a timer above your character. Permanent summons follow you into the next game, as in PD2 (except Revive and ravens).

fix · 0.5.122.12

Ground materials join their stack on every server

A picked-up material, e.g. a gem, joins its stack in the inventory even when the inventory is full — now on pl2, de1 and fr1 too, until now only on Polska 1.

feature · 0.5.122.12

New launcher

Change history in its own window (CO NOWEGO), full d2sfx.mpq and d2char.mpq checks with install-from-folder and repair-from-folder buttons, an error code when the game fails to start, and the selected game server survives a repair and the first installation.

fix · 0.5.122.12

Armory and Grail: 10×8 inventory and Sunder charms

The Armory shows the 10×8 inventory and a Sunder charm's rolled penalty instead of its range. The Grail lists the six Sunder charms with readable penalty ranges ("-70% to -90%"). The Build Laboratory counts charms in the upper half of the inventory.

feature · 0.5.122.9

Game server choice: launcher and the /gs command

The launcher lists all four servers with a measured response time and a coloured dot, plus an automatic entry. The same choice works on chat in the lobby: `/gs` shows it and the list, `/gs pl1` picks one, `/gs off` clears it. The choice stays with the account. de1 and fr1 are opt-in only.

feature · 0.5.122.9

Players on the [ key, and your own default players

The `[` key raises players by one and wraps from eight to one; the screen shows PLAYERS N, gold while waiting, green once sent. The command goes out 3 seconds after the last press. Added `.players default 1-8`, `.players default` and `.players default off` - the default belongs to the account and applies to games you create; pl1 and pl2 share one value, de1 and fr1 keep their own.

fix · 0.5.122.9

BH settings survive an update

Every update overwrote BH_settings.cfg, so light radius and ground items came back after each release. The file is now carried forward and only replaced when missing or corrupt.

fix · 0.5.122.9

The item filter finally hides

Filter level 3 hid nothing on any build for a long time. Fixed.

fix · 0.5.122.10

Chat history without junk in front of the line

Every replayed line was preceded by two stray glyphs and c0[history] instead of a white marker. The colour code never formed, so the escape was printed literally and the line never turned white.

fix · 0.5.122.11

Corresponding source matches the shipped binary

The source bundle shipped with the release carried a stale snapshot of the chat history module, so the source next to the binary was not the source it was built from. Regenerated and verified byte for byte against the tree. Nothing changes in the game itself.

infrastructure · 0.5.122.11

Four game servers with the same feature set

pl1, pl2, de1 and fr1 now run the same adapter and hook build. Command confirmations, kill counting, Holy Grail, hardcore deaths and achievements behave identically on all of them.

fix · 0.5.122

In preparation: chat history with its original appearance

Regular chat, whispers and server announcements carry over between games with their original colours and formatting. The added [History] label has been removed. History is replayed locally without resending messages. World Event banners and the SoJ counter are not archived. The appearance has been checked in game on the test build; the production package is being prepared.

fix · 0.5.122

In preparation: BH profile for new installations

New installations will receive an updated default BH profile. It retains C9 panels, automap information and numpad shortcuts; the configuration has been checked in game. Existing installations are intended to keep each player’s personal settings instead of receiving a replacement profile. The final package is still being prepared. Normal monsters are marked in white in the new profile. Preservation of custom d2gl.ini settings during updates is also being prepared.

balance · 0.5.122

In preparation: Mosaic and normal attack

The fix verified on staging allows a successful normal attack to retain active charges and refresh their duration. It uses the same Mosaic decision as finishing moves: one usable, equipped Mosaic gives a 50% chance; two give 100%. A miss does not refresh the duration, and no new charges are created. This describes the prepared scope, not a production deployment. Preparation of the server package is still in progress.

fix · 0.5.122

Holy Grail: deployed observer and retry improvements

The improved Holy Grail observer is running on Standard. An evidence retry fix has also been deployed. Five missing credits were recovered from retained evidence without duplicates or changes to eligibility rules. Items and character saves were not modified.

feature · 0.5.121

0.5.121: new BH, stash fixes and Build Lab

## Client and launcher 0.5.121

- BH 1.9.10-b3.1 with C9 modules and the existing C9 loot filter.

- NUM1–6 toggle lighting, weather removal, Infravision, map reveal, navigation and monsters. Preferences persist between launches. New profiles default to off; existing preferences and custom hotkeys are preserved.

- C9Vault timing fix: computer clock differences no longer incorrectly expire stash responses, for tabs I–VIII and M.

- Corrected stash button and dimmed material colors when changing acts.

## Build Lab — beta

Armory import, equipment, rolls, skills, tooltips, A/B comparison and 5 named loadouts. Private plans and revocable sharing links after signing in. Calculations are partial: this is not a complete DPS simulator or a wardrobe that moves in-game items.

## TZ rotation

From September 8 at 00:00 Polish time: 15 groups — Chaos Sanctuary, cows, Catacombs/Andariel, WSK/Baal, Tal Rasha tombs, Pit, Ancient Tunnels, Travincal, Durance/Mephisto, Pindle/Nihlathak, Shenk/Eldritch, Stony Tomb, River of Flame, Flayer Jungle and Arcane Sanctuary. The calendar shows full groups and upcoming times; existing games retain their assigned zone.

Close every Diablo window and update through the launcher. This release is mandatory. No new items or recipes. Game tables and D2GS are unchanged; elemental splash and further D2R skill changes are a separate upcoming stage.

feature · 0.5.120

DPS meter and panel controls

Standard SC/HC: actual damage over the last 5 seconds, split into physical, magic and elemental. Me/Players views, .dps, .dps players, close button, whole-table dragging and saved position. Translucent black background. No PvP; native poison attribution limitations apply.

fix · 0.5.120

Splash and expanded buff timers

Corrected physical splash for combat skills, including hits survived by the primary target. 30 supported buff states including Hurricane and druid transformations. Graphics reload on game changes; countdowns still use server time.

feature · 0.5.120

Gambling, starting town and personal Clone

Standard SC/HC: gambling Refresh button, per-character .set home 1–5 / off (also ..set home), respecting progression. Selling one SoJ on Hell triggers Clone only in the seller’s game, once per game.

fix · 0.5.120

Separate .players lock and human presence

Standard SC/HC: the first kill locks lowering the manual .players value, not human presence. Effective scaling may fall after players leave, but not below the manual setting. .players lock still blocks manual changes in both directions.

fix · 0.5.120

Update compatibility and refreshed FAQ

Mandatory client 0.5.120 retains launcher 0.5.119.1. Stash, rejuv, scroll stacks, sale protection, Mosaic and set-upgrade fixes are preserved. PL/EN news, FAQ and feature descriptions now cover the new controls and rules. No new items or recipes.

fix · 0.5.119.1

Launcher hotfix: second window and files locked during updates

Fixed C9Vault helper startup when reopening the second game process is denied: the launcher now passes an inherited lifetime handle. Independent helpers per game and duplicate protection remain intact. Updates check for a locked directory or Game.exe before activation and provide clear retry instructions; no other processes are terminated and the locked installation is preserved. Close all game windows, restart the launcher and choose Update / Repair. Game packages from 0.5.119 and D2GS are unchanged.

feature · 0.5.119

On-screen buff timers

Standard SC/HC: small native icons for BO, BC, Shout, Enchant and other supported buffs with server-synchronized time. Horizontal layout above the left skill, improved spacing and centered seconds.

feature · 0.5.119

Rejuvenation potions, scrolls and tomes

Standard SC/HC: Shift + LMB refills matching belt columns from Rejuvenation and Full Rejuvenation stacks. RMB uses TP or activates ID targeting. Dragging stacks onto tomes fills them while preserving excess scrolls. Ground-pickup belt protection, splitting, M storage, one potion from the cursor and Shift + RMB belt refills are preserved.

fix · 0.5.119

Launcher and shared-stash helper

Prevents duplicate helpers for one game, retains a single process handle, rate-limits repeated log messages and adds aggregate latency diagnostics. The protocol and established synchronization cadence are unchanged. Client and launcher 0.5.119 are required.

fix · 0.5.119

Hardcore death evidence and website

Standard HC: validates native killer notices and enriches confirmed deaths when evidence arrives late, without duplicate announcements. Missing evidence still means an unknown cause. Website: recent PL/EN SEO, sitemap and JavaScript-independent content improvements, plus current release information.

fix · 0.5.118

Belt potions and stash fixes

Cursor stack → one potion to the belt. Shift + RMB outside the stash → belt refill from the stack. Depositing into M requires an open stash. Fixed socketed items, dragging equipped items and placement in I–VIII. Features and safeguards from 0.5.117 are preserved.

feature · 0.5.117

Shared tabs I–VIII and material tab M

Added an account-bound shared stash with immediate transfer feedback. Tab targeting, cursor items, tooltips, click filtering and persistence have been corrected. Tab M supports runes, gems, Uber keys and organs, essences and rejuvenation potions.

balance · 0.5.117

Expanded melee splash and party features

Splash covers native melee attacks, mercenaries, summons, Dragon Talon, the physical part of Dragon Tail and Blade Fury. Party Enchant affects nearby party members and mercenaries, while area experience works within the same named zone.

feature · 0.5.117

15 new runewords and Mosaic

Added Flickering Flame, Mist, Obsession, Pattern, Plague, Unbending Will, Wisdom, Bulwark, Cure, Ground, Hearth, Temper, both Hustle variants and Mosaic charge preservation.

feature · 0.5.117

Set-item upgrades in the Cube

Added four recipes: set weapons and armor from normal to exceptional, and from exceptional to elite. Set identity and properties are preserved.
